Endodontic professionals are specialists highly trained to provide the best possible care for patients. We are dedicated to ensuring that you maintain as much of your natural tooth structure while saving teeth when problems arise. Our advanced training and specialized techniques build confidence in patients, knowing they are receiving the care they need with the professionals they can trust. Endodontic professionals can restore damaged teeth through endodontic therapy, also known as “root canal therapy.” While root canals have received a bad rap over the years as a painful and uncomfortable procedure, this is definitely a myth! In fact, with proper sedation and anesthetics, our team can painlessly perform the procedure while relieving patients of the pain that brought them to our practice in the first place!
The root canal procedure is relatively straightforward. The goal of the process is to save a tooth from permanent extraction by removing the dental pulp from the tooth’s inner structure. The dental pulp is a mass of tissues that also includes the nerves and blood supply. By removing the pulp, disinfecting the tooth’s canals, and sealing off the tooth with gutta-percha, composite resin bonding, and a dental crown, the tooth can be saved from permanent extraction. Patients will find that they quickly heal from this procedure and return to normal activities within a few days!
If you have been referred to an endodontist or want to get a second opinion, the team at Conyers Endodontic Center can assist. Our team is conveniently located at 1920 Highway 20 SE, Suite A, and can be reached at (470) 486-6025. We are always accepting new and existing patients into our practice.
